Doughty demands apology from Tories12.04.40pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 12th Apr 2005 Speaking at the Pre Election meeting with members of Amnesty Sue Doughty challenged Anne Milton, the Conservative candidate to apologise for the distress caused to Guildford residents who originate from other countries by the literature which was distributed in Park Barn Guildford. She said "I'd like to challenge Anne to disown this whole disgraceful campaign, to make a formal apology to all those constituents she has offended and to disown this candidate who chose to only circulate this literature in the poorest part of the Westborough County division for which he is standing." "Yet again the Conservatives have chosen to only use the figures which support their argument, and not the latest figures which tell a different story" she added. "It's a matter of trust." However Anne Milton has said that she will only discuss this matter in a private meeting.
