MP congratulates Sandfield Primary School

Sue Doughty MP is delighted to congratulate Mrs Marie Curtis, Head of Sandfield Primary School and all her staff in achieving the Primary Quality Mark accreditation.

The Basic Skills Agency, an independent organisation, have developed the Quality Mark to encourage schools to meet standards in the teaching of literacy and numeracy.

Sue said "This is a great achievement for Sandfield, many high standards of teaching need to be achieved to gain this award along with ongoing assessment of pupils achievements, having a target for improvements of the school's performance and involving parents in developing their children's basic skills.
